Training on Energy Efficiency delivered by Schneider Electric for 50 students of the Electrotechnics department in Don Bosco Alexandria
The 21st and 22nd of October the students of Don Bosco Alexandria had the opportunity to learn more about Energy Efficiency thanks to the intervention of Ahmed Esmat, Power and Building Solution Manager in Schneider Electric Egypt. The two three-hour sessions were interactive and the students and the teachers showed a great interest in the subject. This intervention was made possible thanks to the collaboration between Schneider Electric Egypt and IECD under the “Seeds of Hope” project.
The objective of the training was to offer an overview of the energy dilemma and explain why Energy Efficiency is the quickest, cleanest and most effective solution. According to the International Energy Agency, “Energy Efficiency is a way of managing and restraining the growth in energy consumption. Something is more energy efficient if it delivers more services for the same energy input, or the same services for less energy input.” Up to 30% can be saved through passive and active energy efficiency. The training was also a good occasion to address professional integration and safety issues with a professional.
Ahmed Esmat also presented the online Energy University of Schneider Electric that provide more than 200 online free courses in different languages. The students who will complete the course and succeed the assessment test will have a certificate issued by Schneider Electric.
